We call this piece "Betty" because she looks like a water skier from the 1950s. Positioned on hand carved Ironwood, this artistic piece incorporates a vintage, metal trophy topper. Betty makes a one-of-a-kind business card holder that is certain to be a conversation piece. Whether you're a recreational or a champion skier, you'll enjoy Betty for many, many years.
Ironwood is indigenous to Arizona's Sonoran desert and is an extremely heavy and dense wood, so much so that it sinks in water. Whereas most hard woods are sold by the board foot, Ironwood is sold by the ounce. This piece is finished with Teak oil. The grain is so tight it looks like it has a coat of polyurethane but no 'poly' was used.
Betty weighs 2.25 pounds.
